(Noho) Deadly Nightshade Concert

The Deadly Nightshade will be playing at the Iron Horse in Northampton (20 Center St, 413-586-8686) on Sunday, May 26, 7pm. One of our members is a Deadly: Pamela Robin Brandt class of 1969.

The concert is to promote the band's new CD, "Never Never Gonna Stop," their first album since the two for RCA back in the mid-1970s. They tried to do a mini-tour when the album first came out, late last fall, but Superstorm Sandy smushified that, so they are trying again. The concert will feature songs from the new CD, some old favorites from the Deadlies' first incarnation (which are also on the new CD, in the form of live concert video footage from 1984; a techie from the National Women's Music Festival found it in their attic, and sent it to us), and some covers that Valley people always like - old girl group songs, Grateful Dead, CSNY, etc.

They have a really interesting opening act, too: Kristen Ford, a Boston-based singer/songwriter who plays an even weirder mix of musical genres than the Deadlies, including acoustic disco!

Hope you can attend!
