Renaissance, literally means to be "reborn." It was a time when individuals celebrated the awakening of a new idea, when light was let into darkness. The Renaissance Pleasure Faire celebrates the "spirit" of this period of history - where people have the willingness to try anything and everything.
RENAISSANCE DRESS:
Encouraged but definitely not required. Jeans and a puffy shirt with a belt is all you really need. No worries about a costume.
It's your inner child: butch or femme, wench or pirate, princess or prince, maiden or squire, knight or wizard ... the concept of Ren Faire is be 16th century England.... and beyond that be anything your heart desires! ...and by the way jeans and puffy blouse with a big fat belt is perfectly fine :))

Watch women jousters cross lances with the rest of the knights. Hazaaaah !

TICKETS:
$28 for adult single day pass. Tickets can be purchased at discount in advance OR at the faire.
PARKING:
Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area charges a $10.00 entry fee per visit. (A Park attendant will collect your access fee). There is no additional charge for that on top of what the Dam requires. General parking is estimated anywhere from 300 to 2500 feet away from the front gate.
