Event Description:Join the Association of Pan-African Unity and La Familia as we watch "The New Black". The New Black is a film that expresses how the African American community deals with gay rights within the gay rights movement and the civil rights movement. It also shows activists, families and clergy on both sides of the campaign and examines homophobia within the Black church. Afterwards, we will have a panel of 6 who will discuss the stigma of homosexuality when it comes to religion, campus life, and family life within the black community. But not only that, we will discuss and hear about what it means to be queer and Black. See you there! Open to all. Free.
